Continuing his pastoral tone from chapter 8, Paul then gives an example of how he laid down his rights as an Apostle for the sake of the Gospel, and within this example setting Paul does pastorally, his words reveal God's heart on self-denial, money, and running our leg of the race for the Kingdom of God.
